George B. Rush
Trial Lawyer
In the mid 1980s George took a break from his law career and purchased his family’s business in Cloverdale. George, his wife Marian, and their two young sons moved to South Surrey. After considerable expansion of the business, it was sold to a Growers Co-operative and George returned to his law career, joining the firm of Thompson & McConnell in White Rock. In 2002 George started his own firm in White Rock and has appeared as counsel in the Provincial Court of British Columbia, the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Court of Appeal. George is a certified Family Law Mediator and continues to focus his practice in the areas of Civil Litigation, Family Law, Wills and Estates, Real Estate and Corporate Law.
As his family grew George became a Beaver, Cub and then a Scout Leader and continues to be very active in the local Scouting community. He is very active in fund raising for major renovations and additions to Camp McLean and local sea scout groups. He takes local scout groups on sea adventures to the Gulf Islands and as far north as Princess Louisa Inlet and Desolation Sound. He also volunteers with the Big Brothers organization taking Big and Little Brothers on boating day trips and with the Variety Club taking handicapped and disadvantaged children on Pirate adventures around False Creek.
George’s many years of legal and business experience enable him to provide sound legal advice to his clients and when necessary, advance their cases in court. George joined Cleveland Doan so that his clients would have easy access to a broad range of legal expertise.
